simple pleasures....

This weekend my kids taught me an important lesson. When we moved into the trailer I didn't bring toys or very much for them to do. Mostly because I didn't think we would be in the trailer as long as we have. It was nice yesterday and the kids played outside most of the day. While Michaela and Jordynn get bored Zach and Dani found tons of ways to entertain themselves. It was fun to watch. Here are a few examples of what they did yesterday...

Here's Zach whacking weeds with a fishing pole. He walked all over the field and "attacked" weeds. Dani was perfectly happy trailing behind him, cheering him on. She also made sure to keep her distance.

Zach and Dani realized that they could coast down our little hill by the trailer. They would use their feet to get going then pick them up and coast about 15 feet into the weeds. Then they'd push the cars up and do it again. They did this for over an hour.

Every morning we wake up to cows in our yard and around our trailer. They get pretty close as you can see. There's even one who comes over to the pen we have the sheep and Molly in most mornings to "play" the sheep ignore him and it scares Molly to death and she barks and barks.

So even though life isn't perfect or even ideal right now, I learned that my kids are still happy. And that was a testament to me to make the best of the situation we're in.
