An accident....

Well I got the call no parent wants to get. Jordynn got hurt a recess and the secretary thought it was pretty bad. Jordynn was brought over to the high school where I found her and decided we needed to get an x-ray. She had fallen off the monkey bars and landed with her hands out and her right wrist was pretty hurt. Well the x-ray revealed 2 broken bones!!! My poor baby!!! So they wrapped it in a hard splint and we'll wait until the swelling goes down to get it cast. She hurts pretty bad and came home and slept most of the afternoon. We'll see if she goes to school...

Busy Week...

So besides trying to move, (by the way we're done and EVERYTHING is in!! We moved all the boxes and furniture in in 5 hours!!!!! We were highly motivated) it's red ribbon week at school. Everyday is a different dress up day. Today was crazy hair day. So the girls have one braid and one pony tail. But what do you do with the boy who has no hair to make crazy?!?! We dyed it black!!! Just with hair spray for Halloween, but still it looks cool. And because he's so blond it's very noticeable!!

As for on the home front, today I start unpacking and putting stuff away. This part I really like. I love to organize and set up the house. And the best part is putting pictures on the wall!!! That's the most fun and make a house look like a home. So I'll keep you all updated and hopefully post pictures soon.

It's that time of year....AGAIN

I had to work at school late Thursday night. So Ben took the kids for some daddy, kids time. Can you guess what they did????? The good news is all the kids came back in one piece and there wasn't an extra passenger (a deer). They had a great time!!!

Life is getting easier....slowly

I may not have all the money in the world...who does?
I may live in a 24' trailer with my 4 kids and husband.....no one does!
And I may have a few bills I'd rather NOT pay i.e.Car Payments and Student Loans....doesn't everybody?

But I know life is getting a little easier when gas in Manila is....................$2.99!!!!! YEP!!! Who would have thought!! I fill up our truck for $51!!! I was soooooo very very very very happy!!!

So if you need gas....Manila is UNDER $3!!!! ARE YOU???????

Ride 'em!!!

We thought it would be fun to see if the kids could ride Jack and Jill.... Well it went pretty well. Just Zach and Dani tried and they both got on Jill and she didn't seem to even care they were on there. It was CUTE!!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Wow it's hard to believe the holidays are finally here. It's been a while since I've written and SOOO much has happened.... WAIT!!!! NOT REALLY it's October 10th and this is Manila!!!! Good morning all and I hope the weather where you're at is better than this. I'm pretty sure it is to the sisters in Phoenix and Las Vegas!!! Anyway, here it is all the snow and let me say it's a lot. Not a dusting like I was expecting NOPE!! REAL, LIVE, STICK TO THE GROUND MAKE YOU COLD SNOW!!!!!!! First thing this morning it was Ben's job was to find the winter coats which by the grace of God I didn't pack. I honestly believe it was Divine intervention that kept me from packing the winter coat when we moved in JULY!!! Anyway I have to admit that I was a little upset this morning and cried a little. Not because of the snow but because I don't want my kids cold and in a trailer when it's SNOWING!! But I know it'll all work out in the end but some days are harder than others to get through our trials. I have a feeling today might be one of the harder ones. But hey the animals didn't seem to mind so much. Ben has made shelters for all of them so they can get out of the snow and hopefully be warm enough.
This is down the street from the end of our driveway. So I guess it didn't just snow at our house. Oh well!!!Good thing we cut wood yesterday so we could bring it home to get snowed on!!!

If it seems I'm a little bitter well.........DUH!!!! Sorry I'll try to be a little more optimistic tomorrow. JUST KIDDING!!! Tomorrow it's HEAVY snow and WIND!!! Erin and Morgan I'm coming to visit!!!!!

More adventures from the compound!!!

Today the 3 big kids got to go to the dinosaur museum in Vernal. Zach was so excited and the first one up this morning. His comment when he got us at 5:55 AM -"Boy it's dark" -REALLY??? Anyway when they came home they decided to make a dinosaur of their own and I actually think they did a great job. I don't know why the picture is sideways, it wasn't when I loaded it.
And Zach got a hair cut to help finish off the look he started (see previous post) But there isn't room in the trailer so he gets to do it outside. I think if we are here and it gets cold we'll get to see pictures of Zach with long hair. I don't think cutting his hair in the snow is a good idea.So those are the fun adventures at the Wolford Compound today. I know all you readers are on the edge of your seat to see what we may come up with next...or not oh well have a nice day!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!

So what anniversary are we celebrating. Well that one year ago Zach cut off half of Dani's hair. So why do I want to remind everyone of that event and memorialize it? Well because HE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!! Not to Dani but to himself!!! I was sitting next to him last night and he had his head leaned up against me and I was playing with his hair. It's been getting long and I told Ben a few days ago he needed a hair cut. Well lo and behold there are little CHUNKS out of my sons head. I asked him if HE had cut his own hair and he started laughing hysterically!!! He insists he didn't (all the while laughing) but there are CHUNKS out of his hair!!!! HOW ELSE DID THAT HAPPEN????????

What a boy!!! But he makes us all laugh and he doesn't look bad just uneven. Ben will have to finish it soon!!!!

The farm expands!!!!

This last weekend the kids and I went BACK to Salt Lake (3rd weekend in a row) to get the newest members of the Wolford Ranch. I picked up 2 miniature donkeys and they are SOOOO cute. As you can see from the pictures we had to get creative to bring them home. They are way too small for a horse trailer so we got the suburban cleaned out (it's been the pantry) and took it to get them. The kids had a great time riding with them the 2 1/2 hours home. They are doing great and we're really enjoying them. We've decided to name them Jack and Jill. And even though my family spent most of Sat. night coming up with GREAT names that go with A$&...we stuck to the nursery rhyme theme we had going with the sheep Bo and Peep.

Family Fun!!!

So the Wolford family has a fun new past time......CUTTING WOOD!!! That's right we go out in the evening and cut wood. Now you may as why on earth would you do that? I say VERY good question. The answer is simple. We want to stay warm come winter. We have a wood burning stove and like to heat our house (when we get there) with it. Propane costs so much that we've found wood is a great alternative. So we go cut wood. And this year the kids have been a great help and it's not that bad. I'm not a huge fan of loading the truck up with heavy wood. But I know I'll appreciate it when we're nice and toasty on cold winter days.

Plus we had this beautiful scene all around us!!!
